Important notice for Cameron Brown Park visitors: the pedestrian bridge is temporarily closed effective immediately following a routine structural safety inspection.

During a recent evaluation, the City’s Engineering Department identified significant environmental and insect-related damage that impacts the bridge’s stability and safety. Out of an abundance of caution, the bridge has been fully blocked off to public access while the City works to expedite a replacement solution.

Parks & Recreation is actively evaluating emergency replacement options and will share an updated timeline once plans are finalized.

Until a new bridge is in place, walkers, runners and trail users will need to turn around and retrace their route at the bridge area. Signage has been posted throughout the park.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to keep Germantown’s parks safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Heads up, Germantown pickleball players! 🏓🚨

If you're planning to head out to the Cameron Brown Park pickleball courts this week, please make note of a quick maintenance schedule.

On this Wednesday, June 17, crews will be working to reinstall the joint sealant between the courts. To get this job done safely and correctly, the two courts directly on either side of the joint will be taped off with caution tape and closed for the day.

The good news? It’s a quick fix! The caution tape will be removed and the courts will reopen on Thursday, June 18 at 8 a.m.

Thank you so much for your patience and cooperation as we keep our courts in tip-top shape! 🙌☀️
