Today we honor and remember Det. Sgt. Mason Griffith. On March 12, 2023, Det. Sgt. Mason Griffith was shot and killed in the line of duty.

Det. Sgt. Griffith served with the Hermann Police Department for over 12 years and served part-time as Chief of the Rosebud Police Department and served as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff for the Gasconade County Sheriff's Office. He left behind his wife and two sons.

We will never forget the life and legacy of Det. Sgt. Mason Griffith.

UTV/ATV/Scooter/Golf Cart Permit Day – City of Gerald 🚨

It’s that time of year again! If you plan to drive your UTV, ATV, scooter, or golf cart on Gerald city streets, a city permit is required.

🗓 Permit Day: Saturday, March 7
⏰ Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
📍 Location: Gerald Legion Park (430 W. Fitzgerald Ave., Gerald, MO 63037)

Officers will be on-site to complete inspections and help you get permitted quickly and conveniently.

Please Bring:
• Your UTV, ATV, scooter, or golf cart ready for inspection
• Completed permit application/renewal form (Blank forms will be available as well)
• Valid driver’s license
• Copy of valid insurance for the vehicle
• Permit fee

Fees: CASH OR CHECK ONLY
• New Permit – $25
• Renewal – $15

Once your vehicle passes inspection, completed applications can be turned in, and permits will be valid through December 31, 2026.

If you’re unable to attend Permit Day, inspections can be scheduled through the Gerald Police Department.
