Aloha, Middle School! What an unforgettable day for our 5th graders! 🌴🎓

This morning’s graduation ceremony was beautiful, and the afternoon Luau after-party was the absolute perfect way to celebrate our amazing graduates!

A MASSIVE thank you to our incredible teachers for putting together such a wonderful graduation program and for guiding our kids all year. And a huge shoutout to the amazing parents and volunteers who organized the fabulous Luau! The kids had the absolute best time making lifelong memories!

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! We are so proud of you! 🎉🥳

The stage was small, but the talent was HUGE this morning!

Our amazing Kindergarteners absolutely rocked their performance today! From math wizards to superstar singers, they brought the house down and filled the room with so much joy.

Thank you to all the wonderful families who came out to cheer them on (and maybe shed a happy tear or two! 🥹📸). We are so proud of these kids!

Today, we celebrated the amazing Class of 2026 from both Great Crossing and Scott County High Schools during the annual Graduate Walk!

To our seniors: You have worked so hard, overcome so much, and grown into incredible young adults. As you walked through the schools today, know that your entire community is standing behind you, cheering you on. You truly are our shining stars! ⭐✨

🎉🏆 INDOOR FIELD DAY WAS A HUGE SUCCESS! 🏆🎉

What an absolutely incredible day! Even though we took the fun inside, the energy, laughter, and school spirit were through the roof. Events like this don't just happen, and we have some major thank-yous to hand out:

🔵To Mrs. Caple: Thank you for your master-level organizing skills! You put together an unforgettable day for our students, and we are so grateful for your hard work and dedication.

🔵To our amazing PTA: A huge shoutout and thank you for sponsoring our two awesome inflatables! They were the absolute highlight of the day and brought so many smiles to our students' faces. 🎈🙌

🔵To our wonderful volunteers: Thank you for graciously giving your time, energy, and enthusiasm to help keep the games running smoothly. We literally couldn't have done it without you!

🔵To the SC Sheriff’s Department: Thank you for stopping by and partaking in the inflatable fun! The kids (and staff) loved seeing you out there sharing in the laughs.

🔵To our teachers and students: Thank you for giving it your all and being so incredibly flexible! You showed amazing sportsmanship and proved that we can have a blast anywhere.

For the past couple of months, Mara Chamblin Volpe’s class have been hard at work on a special Literacy Project!

They were asked a big question: “What is your favorite book?” and they used their incredible creativity to bring their answers to life!
Their projects included:

✨ Posters showcasing their favorite books
🦖 Sculptures of their favorite characters
🏡 Dioramas recreating the settings of the stories

By transforming their reading into tangible art, they aren't just learning to read stories, they are experiencing them, visualizing the worlds, and bringing the characters to life! We are so proud of your hard work! 🥰

At Northern Elementary, we know our car line runs best when everyone works together. Today we had to recognize one parent who took “problem solving” to the next level. 😂

Congratulations to Lindsay Harreld Cohlmeyer, our unofficial Car Line Rule Follower of the Year!

When her car tag went missing, she did not panic. She did not hold up the line. She created her own handmade replacement and kept things moving smoothly for everyone.

We appreciate the creativity, humor, and commitment to keeping our car line safe and efficient. Thanks for being such a great sport, Lindsay!
