Thirty years gives us a lot to remember.
It also gives us a reason to look ahead.

On October 23, La Esperanza will celebrate its 30th anniversary with 30 Years of Hope at Delaware Tech in Georgetown.

The evening will feature the premiere of Faces of Hope, which brings together footage from Estamos Aquí, a documentary filmed 20 years ago, with new stories from Sussex County.

It's a chance to see where La Esperanza came from, celebrate the community that has grown with us and look toward what's next.

30 Years of Hope
Friday, October 23 | 6 p.m.
Carter Partnership Center
Delaware Technical Community College, Georgetown

Tickets include dinner, the celebration and the premiere.

Immigration information is everywhere online. That doesn't mean it's accurate.

Before paying someone for immigration help or sharing personal documents, make sure you're getting information from a qualified source. La Esperanza provides immigration counseling as one of its core services.

Our team can help people understand their options and navigate immigration services.

When you're dealing with something as important as your immigration status, take the time to verify.

La Esperanza's story started in 1996 with Hispanic community leaders and three Carmelite Sisters of Charity who saw a growing need in southern Delaware.

Thirty years later, we're celebrating the people who helped build that foundation and everyone who has carried the work forward.

Join us October 23 for 30 Years of Hope, an evening celebrating La Esperanza's history and looking toward the future.

The evening will include dinner and the premiere of Faces of Hope, a new video connecting stories from La Esperanza's past with the community we know today.

Facts, fear, and hope - the humanity behind the headlines in the current U.S. immigration debate is seen through the experience of a small American town where an estimated 10,000 Guatemalans have arrived in the last decade.
