‼️UPDATE: She was Located/ Returned Safe on Sept 5, 2026. Thank you all that were concerned.‼️

‼️Missing‼️

The Georgetown Police Department is asking for your assistance in locating Gwendolyn Davis who left her residence in the City of Georgetown on 09/3/2026 at 3:00 p.m. and was supposed to be traveling by bus to Myrtle Beach to visit family. She never arrived at the residence in Myrtle Beach, S.C. She is described as a 15 year old black female, approx 5'5" tall, 130 Ibs, wearing a black colored shirt, black colored pants, black colored sneakers and black colored backpack. Further, her hair on the top left side of her head is dyed greenish-blue. She has stitches over her left eye.

The Georgetown Police Department is asking for your assistance in locating Dy’ Qarius Armstrong.

Dy’Qarius Armstrong is wanted by the Georgetown Police Department for Attempted Murder, Possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and Discharging a fi***rm into a dwelling.

The charges are from a shooting incident that occurred on July 7, 2026, on Butts St. in the City of Georgetown. Armstrong was an active participant in the shooting and should be considered Armed and Dangerous.

Georgetown Police Department Announces New Department Chaplain

The Georgetown Police Department is pleased to announce the appointment of Reverend Dr. Lorenzo Smalls, Pastor of 1st Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, as the Department's new Police Chaplain.

Reverend Dr. Smalls brings a strong commitment to faith, service, leadership, and the Georgetown community. In his role as Police Chaplain, he will provide spiritual support, encouragement, counseling, and a caring presence for the men and women of the Georgetown Police Department and their families.

The work of law enforcement can be demanding, and our officers and staff face challenging situations that can take both a physical and emotional toll. Having a chaplain available to offer guidance, support, and encouragement is an important part of ensuring the overall well-being of our Department.

We are grateful to Reverend Dr. Smalls for accepting this important responsibility and for his willingness to serve those who serve and protect our community.

Please join me and the men and women of the Georgetown Police Department in welcoming Reverend Dr. Lorenzo Smalls to this important role.

Today, we mourn the tragic loss of Officer DeLong of the Columbia Police Department.

We extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to Officer DeLong’s family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

We also keep the officer who was injured during this tragic event in our thoughts and prayers, wishing them strength and a full recovery.

Our hearts are with the Columbia Police Department and everyone affected by this heartbreaking loss. 🖤💙
