🌟 Georgetown Police Department Launches the Silver Alert Program
The Georgetown Police Department is proud to offer the Silver Alert Program — a voluntary, confidential registry designed to help protect some of Georgetown’s most vulnerable residents.
This program supports individuals living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, memory‑related disorders, cognitive impairments, or other disabilities that may increase the risk of wandering or becoming disoriented.
What the Program Does —
If a registered resident goes missing or becomes confused, officers can quickly access their photo, essential medical information, calming strategies, triggers, and emergency contacts. This allows us to respond faster, more safely, and with the individualized care each person deserves.
📝 How to Register —
Family members, caregivers, and loved ones can register someone by completing the secure form on our website.
The program is completely voluntary, and all information is kept confidential within the Georgetown Police database.

❤️ Why It Matters —
The Silver Alert Program strengthens our ability to protect residents who may be at risk — and gives families peace of mind knowing that, if the unexpected happens, we have the tools to help bring their loved one home safely.
If you have a family member or someone in your care who may benefit, we encourage you to enroll them today.
