Congratulations to the Georgetown County Office of Voter Registration and Elections Office staff on receiving the Innovation Award, which was presented this evening by County Council! The award recognizes processes and projects initiated by county employees that create cost savings and/or benefit the county.
Voter Registration and Elections Director Aphra McCrea and her team were recognized for the Georgetown County Voter Guide — a plain-language, nonpartisan resource that makes voting information clearer and more accessible for all Georgetown County residents.
The guide consolidates everything voters need to know — from ID requirements to the differences between early, absentee and Election Day voting — into one easy-to-use format available in both print and digital versions.
