Friends of the Georgetown Public Library is not the library itself. We are the nonprofit organization that raises money and provides volunteer support to help the library do even more.

The WOW!mobile is one highly visible example of what community support can make possible. Memberships, donations, bookstore purchases, and volunteer hours all help turn good ideas into meaningful resources for Georgetown.

What a night! 🌟 Thank you to Georgetown Palace Theatre and everyone who came out to 42nd Street, especially our Nonprofit Partner Night guests who stopped by our lobby table.

Being the featured Nonprofit Partner for this production gave Friends of the Georgetown Public Library wonderful visibility in our community and reminded us how much we love supporting the Georgetown Public Library alongside partners like GPT.

Why does a library nonprofit partner with a local theatre? Because a strong Georgetown means strong arts AND strong libraries, and we love showing up for our neighbors. 🎭

Friends of the Georgetown Public Library exists to supplement what the library can offer: funding programs, resources, and community events.
