We made significant progress this week on repairing the broken pipe at the pool, thanks to the hard work of city staff and dedicated volunteers. We look forward to sharing more updates next week as work continues.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has helped with this project. Without your time, effort, and support, we would not be as far along as we are today.

Weather permitting, we hope to have the project completed soon and be back up and running. We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as we work through these unforeseen circumstances.

Our pool was built in 2010, and like any facility, maintenance challenges are inevitable over time. We remain committed to making the necessary repairs and ensuring the pool is ready for the community to enjoy.

In other news, the guard shack and the men’s and women’s locker rooms are getting a flooring makeover. Thank you to Concrete Surfacing and their employees Tim, Caleb and Nathan for fitting this project into their schedule. The layers of paint have been removed. Will post more pictures when the project is finished!

Work being done at the swimming pool. We working as quickly as possible to complete this repair. Due to the limited workspace and conditions in the area, the work must be completed manually. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve the issue safely and efficiently.

As some of you have noticed, there is work currently being done at the George Swimming Pool. Due to unforeseen circumstances, when the pumps were turned on to circulate the water and add chemicals a noticeable water leak occurred. Upon investigation, a substantial pipe break was uncovered.

The city is currently working to have the issue repaired; however, this will delay the anticipated opening date of June 1. We will continue to keep the community updated as repair work progresses.
