Do you have some free time tonight? Join us for Craft & Chat! We meet once a month on the third Thursday of the month in the Event Room from 6:00-7:30 pm. Bring whatever you feel like working on - crochet, painting, coloring, stitching, etc - and join us for some low-key crafting and conversation. Open to ages 16+. We hope to see you there! 🧶🧵🪡🎨🖌️🖍️

Our Joy of Canning class has been rescheduled to Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 6:00 pm in our Event Room.

Genoa native Marisa Glover will be teaching the basics of canning including information about the types of canning, what types of food are best for canning, and canning safety. Attendees will be able to sample some yummy salsa that she canned herself.

We loved having students from the Genoa-Kingston FFA be guest readers at our June 3, 2026 Story Time in Chamberlain Park and teach us all about pollinators. As you can tell, we had a great time - thank you!

With the expected severe weather predicted for this afternoon and evening, we are cancelling our Joy of Canning program for tonight and will announce a rescheduled date in the near future. Stay safe today, friends!

PLEASE NOTE: Story Time will be INDOORS today!

Who knew that when we scheduled Candice King, Chief Meteorologist with WTVO Channel 17 News in Rockford, to be our guest reader for this week’s Story Time that weather would be an issue?!? Candice has recommended that Story Time would be better suited to inside rather than outside, so we are moving tomorrow’s Story Time into our Event Room at 10:00 am. Miss Pattie and Candice hope to see you there!

We are pleased to be a host site for a 211 kiosk courtesy of the Kishwaukee United Way. Make sure to check it out when you visit the library.

A new location for a 211 kiosk is now available at Genoa Public Library.

Thanks to our partners at the Genoa Public Library District, neighbors now have another easy way to find local support for food, housing, utilities, health care, transportation, and more. This is one of eight 211 kiosk locations helping connect people to resources across our community.
