The damaged volleyball net in the park has been replaced thanks to a generous donation from the Genoa Area Chamber. Each net costs about $200, in addition to about 2 hours of volunteer time to install it. A big thank you to Mike Rodriguez, Lisa Matthes, Pat Connelly, Bobby Connelly and Gavin Connelly for their time and tools this evening. The purple volleyball net was also tightened and is ready for use!

Please talk to your kids about not hanging on the volleyball nets in the future. If you see someone hanging on the nets or using them inappropriately, please let a city employee or Park Board member know so it can be addressed. Thank you! We hope to see the community enjoying the courts all summer!

Many great things are happening in the Genoa Park and Pool thanks to some pretty great volunteers, employees and community organizations!

The Genoa Lions Club is repainting the north shelter in the park. It was built by their organization many years ago and was in much need of a fresh coat of paint.

The Genoa Area Chamber has volunteered to replace both sand volleyball nets after one was damaged. (Reminder: Please take care of the things in our park!)

A new water fountain was installed at the ball fields, thanks in part to a generous donation from the Bob and Sandy Badura family. A plaque will go up by the water fountain to recognize their awesome donation.

Our city employee, Eric, repainted the pool and is getting it ready for the season. We will need to wait for some warmer temps before our opening date is announced. Stay tuned to our page for updates!

If you see any of these people or members of these organizations, please give them a big thank you! The Park and Pool Board appreciate all of them! It’s so great to see the small-town pride in our community!

We are still in need of additional lifeguards for the 2026 season! Please get applications in by May 1st so the board can review them at their next meeting. Thank you!! ☀️

It’s time for our Annual Community Ballfield Cleanup! Let’s get our park and ballfields looking good for the season!

TODAY, March 23rd @ 5:30 p.m. (or whenever you can join)

Bring rakes, shovels, tarps, gloves, little trailers or pickups to help haul loads to the dump and anything else you think would be helpful with leaf and stick cleanup.

The more volunteers that show up, the faster it goes! Please share with parents, players, coaches and anyone who likes to come down to the fields and support our kids!
