CLERK CUNNINGHAM LAUNCHES VOTER WAIT TIME APP
FOR MARCH 17 GENERAL PRIMARY ELECTION

Kane County Clerk John A. Cunningham announced today that his office has launched a new “Voter Wait Time” app that provides voters with an estimate of how long they will wait in line at polling places.
The new publicly-available tool is designed to further enhance voter accessibility in time for the March 17 General Primary Election.

The Voter Wait Time app is accessible online by visiting https://votetimemgr.app/. In-person voters can then click on the polling place of their choice to get polling place locations and estimated wait times. Currently two early voting locations are open on the App: the Kane County Clerk’s office in Geneva and the satellite office in Aurora. On March 2, the early voting locations will expand to a total of 23 locations.

“We are aware of times when lines can be long at polling places on Election Day. My goal is to inform in-person voters to reduce their wait times,” Kane County Clerk John Cunningham said.

“The Wait Time App is based on GPS technology,” Cunningham said. “Eventually there will be more features available on the app for voters – it’s a work in progress. Initially this is designed to reduce wait times, especially during inclement weather,” Cunningham added.

“Kane County is on the cutting edge of this new technology. “There isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t strive to do better,” the County Clerk said.

Early Voting began on Thursday, February 5, only at the Kane County Clerk’s Office in Geneva and at the satellite office in Aurora. On March 2, Early Voting expands to include 23 sites, with varying dates and hours. A list of all Early Voting sites, dates and times is available at https://clerk.kanecountyil.gov/Elections/Documents/EARLY%20VOTING%20POSTER%20-%20MARCH%202026.pdf.
