Street Lighting Assessment Notice.

The Geneva Trustee’s passed Resolution 2026-11. This resolution sets the assessment for Street Lighting for the years 2026, 2027, 2028 and 2029 (collections to begin in year 2027). The assessments are to offset the street lighting electricity costs. The individual assessment by parcel is available for review at the Township Office at 256 North Cedar Street, and by contacting the Fiscal Officer at 440-466-5599.

Geneva Township is pleased to announce that street lighting assessments will be reduced due to a balance currently available in the Street Lighting Fund.

The Township has reviewed the fund balance and determined that a reduction in the assessment is appropriate while still maintaining adequate funding for street lighting expenses and future needs.

Our goal is to responsibly manage Township funds and ensure that assessments are set at a level necessary to provide these services without collecting more than needed.

We appreciate our residents’ continued support and understanding as we work to be good stewards of your tax dollars.

Myers Road - at CSX Railroad Crossing - Geneva Twp will be closed August 17 -21, 2026 by CSX Railroad for railroad repairs.

The Geneva Township Zoning Commission will hold a meeting on Tuesday, August 18th at 7:00 pm to discuss and develop new policies in regards to short-term rentals, Campers, RV and Hunting Cabins, Data Centers, and other concerns raised by township residents. The meeting will be held in the Geneva Township Hall at 256 North Cedar Street, Geneva, OH.
