⛈️Widespread thunderstorms will redevelop this afternoon in north GA and spread south tonight.

Please don’t burn anything outdoors. GA Forestry is working hard to prevent any fires. Please do your part and don’t burn during a burn ban. If you have any questions, go to GA Forestry website or call to verify when it’s okay to burn.

Starting today, much of South and Central Georgia are under a burn ban as we continue to respond to wildfires and deal with ongoing drought conditions.

We're asking all Georgians to do your part in preventing the spread of wildfires as response teams work around the clock to contain those currently blazing.

For Sunday, 4/18/26:
🌧️Despite some areas of north GA receiving a bit of rain tonight, it will quickly dry out Sunday in the wake of a cold front.
🔥‼️A Red Flag Warning covers most of the area noon-8 PM Sunday due to windy & dry conditions, with further expansion SE possible.
