PLEASE TAKE NOTICE:

All City of Geneva offices will be closed on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day with the exception of the police department, the fire department and the water plant. All offices will reopen on Tuesday, May 26th at their regular business hours.

PROJECT UPDATE:

As part of the City of Geneva’s Castle Street Capital Improvements Project, Villager Construction will begin paving on Castle Street, between Main Street and Pulteney Street. Access to & from driveways will not be available starting at 6am Tuesday (5/26) morning. Street parking will also not be available at this time. Residents are encouraged to move their vehicles to alternate parking locations on Monday night.

Work is expected to begin Tuesday, May 26th. Castle Street will be temporarily closed in this area.

Oak Street to Pulteney Street will be under full reconstruction starting 5/26. Street Parking and access to driveways will be limited during the workday.

Traffic Impacts:

-Eastbound and westbound traffic on Castle Street will be closed between Main St. and Oak St. during the workday.
-Northbound and southbound traffic on Pulteney St. will be closed between Elmwood Ave. and Castle St.
-Dorchester Ave will remain open to local traffic only. Construction activities may result in temporary delays and closures.
-Parking will be limited overnight and during construction hours.

Construction is expected to continue for several weeks. All work schedules are subject to change due to weather or unforeseen conditions. Please refer to the detour map for additional traffic guidance.

Residents and commuters should expect delays and temporary changes to normal traffic patterns. Work zones will be restricted to local traffic and emergency vehicles only, and short-term detour routes will be clearly posted.

Cyclists: Please use caution due to rough road conditions and follow posted detours.
Pedestrians: Please use crosswalks and sidewalks when available and remain a safe distance from construction vehicles and equipment.

The City’s boat launch is open for use, just in time for the holiday weekend!

Thank you for your patience as City crews worked to remove debris and ensure the launch could safely reopen.

Please note that some sections of the public dock, lakefront pathways, and concrete steps remain closed. Please follow all posted signage and stay clear of barricades and safety fencing for your safety.
