10/18/2025

A line of showers and thunderstorms, a few strong to severe, is forecast to move through the area early Sunday morning. There is the potential for some damaging wind gusts and a tornado or two embedded within the line of storms. As a result, there is a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 5) of severe weather for the area along and west of a line from near Albany, GA to Tallahassee, FL for Sunday morning.

Overview:
A robust storm system moving through the middle of the country drags a cold front through our area on Sunday. A line of showers and thunderstorms is forecast to arrive around sunrise Sunday and continue heading east throughout the morning. Damaging wind gusts are the primary concern within any of the stronger storms as the line moves through, but a tornado or two cannot be completely ruled out. There is a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 5) for severe weather across southeastern Alabama, the Florida Panhandle, much of southwestern Georgia and the western Florida Big Bend.

There is a bit of good news with this system as it looks to bring 0.25" to 0.50" of rain to much of the region with pockets of heavier rain possible across the Florida Panhandle.
