Twenty-five years ago, our nation changed forever. Today, the Geneva Police Department pauses to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001 and to remember the courage of the first responders who ran toward danger to save others. We stand in solidarity with the families who continue to carry this loss, and with the survivors who carry its memory. Twenty-five years later, we still say: WE WILL NEVER FORGET.

The civil service exam for Police Officer is Saturday, October 17, 2026, and the paperwork closes a lot sooner than that.

What an incredible turnout for this year's National Night Out in Geneva! Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy an evening of community, connection, and fun. From meeting our first responders to enjoying great food and activities with neighbors, it was a wonderful reminder of what makes our community so special.

A special thank you to our local police and fire departments, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who helped make this event possible. Events like these strengthen the bonds that keep Geneva safe and connected.

FOUND DOG — Hawkins Ave, City of Geneva

The Geneva Police Department has recovered a tan male pit bull found on Hawkins Ave earlier today. He was wearing an e-collar but no visible ID tags.

The dog has been transferred to the Ontario County Humane Society. If you believe this is your dog, please contact them directly to arrange identification and pickup.

If you have any information about this dog’s owner, please reach out to the shelter as soon as possible.
