The Kane County Government social media policy includes, but is not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram. Social media platforms are used to present matters related to Kane County Government and events and information of interest to its users. Comments or postings that do not relate to the business of Kane County Government, and which we
reserve the right to delete, include but is not limited to:
a) Pornographic, sexual, profane, or other offensive materials or content. c) Content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability or sexual orientation. d) Comments, sites or articles that contain solicitations of commerce. e) Information that encourages or promotes illegal activity, is defamatory or libelous. f) Information that may compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems. g) Content that violates a legal ownership interest of any other party. h) Retaliation responses to site visitors. i) Items involving current or potential future litigation. j) Nonpublic information of any kind. k) Comments in support or opposition to political campaigns, ballot measures or referendums.
