The Geneseo Police Department proudly recognizes National Police Woman Day.

National Police Woman Day shines a light on the invaluable contributions of female police officers every September 12th. This day celebrates their dedication to enforcing law and order, often in challenging circumstances.

We honor the dedicated women who serve in law enforcement and are especially grateful to Officer Shoemaker and Officer Berthoud for their courage, professionalism, and commitment they make each day to Geneseo.

Today, the Geneseo Police Department joins our nation in remembering the nearly 3000 lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We honor the first responders who courageously ran toward danger, the families forever changed, and all those whose lives were impacted by that tragic day.

25 years later, their courage, sacrifice and service will never be forgotten.

It was great to see so many people out enjoying Dancing Queen – An ABBA Salute last night! The crowd had a great time enjoying the show!

The Geneseo Police Department had a special visitor today! Charlotte, along with her father, Michael, stopped by to make a generous donation to Geneseo Cops and Firefighters for Christmas.

The program gives local children the opportunity to go Christmas shopping with Geneseo police officers and firefighters to purchase gifts for their families.

Charlotte raised money to support the program, and Officer Shoemaker was happy to accept her donation on behalf of the Geneseo Police Department.

Thank you, Charlotte, for your generosity and for helping make Christmas a little more special for families in our community!
