Otsego County EMS / Rescue was dispatched early Sunday morning for a car in the water with possible people inside. The vehicle was located about 100 feet from shore in water depth of 8 to 10 feet with nobody inside. It was pulled to shore with our rescue truck to verify it was not occupied. Currently under investigation by the Otsego County Sheriff office.

Road construction work on Mancelona Road, from Old 27 to Hayes Tower Road, will start on Monday, August 10th. The work will consist of crushing the existing asphalt, reshaping the road surface and repaving with new asphalt. Final completion of the project is scheduled for September 23rd. Funds for this project will come from the county wide road millage. If traveling this road, please allow extra time for traffic delays or avoid the area and seek alternate routes if possible.
