Hey, high school students in northeast Michigan who are considering more education! You can win a $1,000 scholarship by filling out this survey. The survey, which can be accessed here: http://www.discovernortheastmichigan.org/scholarship.asp, will provide insight on how students are thinking about future training and education, what challenges they’ve experienced in accessing these opportunities, their financial plans, support systems and potential career paths. We believe that this information will be critical to informing future talent strategies for our region.

We encourage all eligible students to participate and parents, educators and other area leaders to widely share this opportunity with students in their communities.

Last night the Lake Huron Discovery Tour (a 200-mile fall weekend event along the US 23 Heritage Route) was awarded one of three 2017 Governor's Awards for Innovative Tourism Collaboration! One of the other two Governor's Awards went to the Up North Trails program (a 21-county trails promotion project in northern Michigan). Thumbs up to Northeast Michigan!

Pretty cool...don't you think?
