Mulch Pile Fire Response β Tuesday
On Tuesday March 30th at 14:56, our members were alerted to a mulch pile fire at a local business. Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy fire covering the majority of the mulch pile, with flames spreading to nearby stacked logs.
Additional stations were quickly requested to assist with containment efforts. With the help of our mutual aid partners, crews were able to bring the fire under control and worked diligently to extinguish hotspots throughout the pile and surrounding logs.
After approximately six hours on scene, the incident was safely cleared at 21:08.
We would like to thank all assisting departments for their teamwork and dedication in bringing this incident to a safe conclusion.
