Region VI had an amazing time at National Night Out with the Gatesville Police Department! Our team was out early, welcoming families as they explored Blackhawk and Apache helicopters from Fort Hood. We shared TDCJ career information, glow‑stick fun, and plenty of candy—while Gatesville kept everyone cool with free water, hot dogs, and ice cream. Proud to support safer communities and connect with our neighbors! 💙🚓✨

🌟 Region VI September MVP: Danielle Welch 🌟

Region VI is proud to recognize Danielle Welch as our September Most Valuable Player! Her dedication, professionalism, and tireless commitment to excellence continue to set the standard for our team.
Danielle routinely goes above and beyond—staying after hours, supporting statewide Classification work, and even being selected to travel to Texarkana for semi‑annual classification duties. Inmates often send their I‑60s directly to her, and her knowledge, responsiveness, and compassion shine through in every interaction.
She doesn’t just go the second mile… she never stops. Her commitment to the female population inspires all of us in Region VI.
