Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information

Beginning Monday, March 23, 2020 GHA's office will be closed to the public to aid in the prevention of the spread of COVID-19. Staff will still be working to assist you during these uncertain times. If you have paperwork to submit, please do so by email, mail or fax. If you need forms or general program information, please visit our website at www.ghanc.org. All other inquiries should be directed to your assigned caseworker. If you do not have an assigned caseworker, contact us at [email protected] or 704-349-5113.

The Gastonia Housing Authority (GHA) is actively monitoring information released about Coronavirus (COVID-19) and is taking precautionary measures to protect both our clientele and staff. These precautions are based on guidance issued by reputable agencies including the Centers for Disease Control and the NC Department of Health and Human Services.
GHA is working to minimize public contact including:
The amount of people visiting main office and remote office locations
The need for in-office appointments
Limiting applicant and resident group meetings
At this time all payments, annual re-certifications and inspections will proceed as scheduled.
Individuals are encouraged to contact staff by phone and email. General inquires can be directed to the main office at 704-349-5113 and [email protected]. Updated information, forms, policies, and procedures are provided on GHA’s website, www.ghanc.org. Please utilize this website in lieu of visiting the main office when possible.
The Gastonia Housing Authority provides permanent housing for low- and moderate-income families through two main programs: the Public Housing & Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. Applicants can apply for one or both of the programs, providing the waiting lists are open.
