The results are in for last year! Our amazing students and teachers went from Did Not Meet Growth to Exceeding Growth on our end of grade tests! This is the first time Pleasant Ridge has exceeded growth since 2018!

We are so proud of our students and staff at Pleasant Ridge. Our School Performance score increased by 11 points and our school moved up a letter grade!!

Good evening, this is Mr. Hubers the principal at Pleasant Ridge with an important announcement. Our new media specialist Ms. McGovern will begin checking books out with students in the library. If you see your child with a new book, it may be one they have checked out from the school library. We also have several books missing from our library that were checked out last year. Parents, if your student checked any of our books out last year and did not return them, please return them as soon as possible. Thank you for your help and have a wonderful evening!

Good evening, this is Mr. Hubers the principal at Pleasant Ridge Elementary with some important reminders for the coming week. We had a great first full week of school this week! I met with all of our students on Thursday and Friday and went over our ROAR student expectations. ROAR stands for Respect Others / Own Your Actions / Act Safely / Ready To Learn. I challenged our students to exhibit behaviors each day that lived up to those expectations.

I want to remind everyone that our school day begins at 8am. Students may be dropped off between 7:20 and 8:00am. We have a lot of car riders to get through the line so we are very appreciative when students are prepared to exit the car when pulling up to the front of the school. Also, please make sure you are not pulling in the parking lot and walking your child across the drop off traffic in front of the school. This is not safe for students and it slows the car line down. Also a reminder that all vehicles entering the front of our school during drop off and pick up times should be making a right turn into the front entrance. Please follow our traffic pattern to keep everyone safe.

Good evening, this is Mr. Hubers the principal at Pleasant Ridge with a few important reminders for the coming week. A reminder that all kindergarten students will begin this Monday, August 17th. Parents, please know that with kindergarten starting, please plan for the morning drop off lines to be a little longer. Student may be dropped off at the front of the school between the times of 7:20 to 7:59. Parents, please do not pull in the parking lot across from the drop off lane and walk your child across the road. This is not safe for the child and it slows the car line down. We ask that parents do not walk their child in the building beginning tomorrow.

Also afternoon dismissal will take longer with the additional car riders. Parents, please make sure you have you car tag visible and when you enter the front entrance of the school in the afternoon for dismissal you will alternate car lines as directed by a staff member. This will help the dismissal process.

Parents, please make sure you have completed the Parent Information Packet that was sent home with your student last week and return the signed documents this week.

Finally, I am so proud of how well our students and staff did last week to get us off to a great start and I am looking forward to a great week! I hope everyone has a wonderful evening.
