8/27/2026 600 East from 200 South to SR22 will be closed to traffic for paving operations. Please make other arrangements. If you have any questions please contact the highway department.

*****RIVER UPDATE****
The river has receded and we are in the process of removing the barricades from Stone Road and Lincoln Blvd. We will continue to monitor the river levels and if need be return the barricades.
There are still several locations in the county that continue to be flooded be aware.

*****FLOOD UPDATE*****
Barricades have been placed on Stone Road at 38th Street and Monroe Pike.
Lincoln Blvd at Jay Street and 54th Street.
Water has crossed the road.

******SEVERE FLOODING*******
Several roads in the county have standing or flowing water on them. We have exhausted our supply of high water signs. Please use extreme caution when traveling the county roads. Be aware, remember turn around, don’t drown.

July 29, 2026 600 West between 125 South and 200 South will be closed for drain pipe installation, will re-open when work is completed. Scheduled to be open by end of day on July 30, 2026.

Monday June 15, 2026, 200 South from 500 West to 600 West will be closed to thru traffic for the purpose of installing tile/pipe under the roadway. This is scheduled for a 2-day closure depending on weather. We will update this if it changes. If you have any questions, please contact the office at 765-677-6044.

Mother Nature got the best of us yesterday with no rain in the forecast all weekend, we ordered 4 tankers for chip sealing and we got 2.5 of them emptied between the rain. We are continuing our chip seal program and will be in Richland township and Sims Township today.
