Thursday, June 11th is Movie Night at the Reserve Library for the whole family! We'll enjoy a night out watching a classic ("Honey, I Shrunk the Kids") in the air conditioning in collaboration with St. John Theatre. Before the movie starts, we'll have a 30-minute shrinky d**k activity for kids, starting at 5 p.m.

Have you ever taken a Storybook Walk? Pages from "This Book is Perfect" will be displayed along the walking path so families can read, move, and explore together at their own pace. It’s a fun way to enjoy the outdoors while sharing a story with your little ones!

From June 1 - June 13, the Storybook Walk will be in the park behind St. John the Baptist Parish Library's LaPlace Branch.

Day 2 of our Annual Leadership Retreat is officially in the books!
Over the past two days, our leadership team remained Anchored in Excellence, fully committed to the important work of strengthening our capacity as leaders. Together, we engaged in meaningful reflection, celebrated our program's many strengths, examined our challenges, and collaborated on strategies to continue moving our program forward.

A special thank you to Mrs. Johnika Gayden Gaines for taking us on an inspiring leadership voyage that challenged us to grow personally and professionally. Through her wisdom, authenticity, and powerful insights, she reminded us that effective leadership begins with self-growth, extends to empowering others, and is rooted in integrity. Her message encouraged us to lead with purpose, cultivate the potential of those around us, and remain steadfast in our commitment to excellence. We are grateful for the impact she made on our leadership team and the lasting lessons that will continue to guide our work.
