I am always in awe of the incredible veterans, vendors, and volunteers who continue to support our Veterans Stand Downs!

On Friday, April 10th, at the Dean and Barbara White Community Center in Merrillville, we were honored to serve 82 veterans, with 101 food bags provided through the Boeing Food Pantry. The event included 31 vendors, such as the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center Mobile Unit, Lil Lou Barber College offering free haircuts, Jim Chancellor and mentors from the Veterans Treatment Court, and Honor Flight NWI.

A special thank you to our 21 dedicated volunteers, and to Girl Scouts of Northwest Indiana and Greater Chicago for their generous donation of 400 cases of Girl Scout cookies.

We are truly grateful for the community that continues to show up and support our veterans! Go veterans NWI!

Dean & Barbara White Community Center

Come out and receive giveaways, food bags, and access to valuable resources. We will have the Department of Veterans Affairs, Jesse Brown Medical Unit and medical Team, and 25+ community partners ready to serve you.
