This is a huge problem and the treasurer is 100% Correct to oppose it. Public comment ends on Jan 2nd. Please take a minute to read and if you see fit, raise your voice in opposition to this. OK, I hate that I have to post this, but once again feel it appropriate.
There is a reason that tours have assigned times.
We do these tours on a volunteer basis.
It needs to be crystal clear that if you fail to show up for your tour or show up late for your tour, you WILL NOT be given a tour!

We take time out of our busy schedules to give these tours and when people just don't show up, it takes time away from other individuals that would have taken the slot and from us.

When people show up late and expect us to drop everything because they "drove 4 hours" or, "lost track of time," or any other reason, it hurts the business that we scheduled time away from to accommodate that person.

So I have said it before and I unfortunately have to say it again.
If you show up late for your tour, you WILL NOT be accomodated!
You WILL be sent away WITHOUT A TOUR.

Once again, we know that this does not apply to the great majority of our guests, but without fail, there is always someone that thinks that scheduled times are just a suggestion (give or take an hour or two) and that because they came from far away, we should just drop everything because they do not listen to instructions.

ALL TOURS are MOUNTAIN (Utah) TIME.
MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON THE CORRECT TIME.

We do understand that sometimes, things happen beyond control and We will bend over backwards to work with those that communicate those problems to us in a timely manner. (availability permitting)
Thanks,
Travis

We are a working ranch and do tours of the Cave by appointment.
This means that tours are available by appointment only.
We are unable to drop everything to take tours for individuals who just show up.
We do not allow walk-ins.
If you do not have a scheduled tour and have not been given a date and time, you will not be given a tour.
When you call to request a tour, simply leaving a message of when you would like a tour does NOT mean that you have an appointment.
We are in an extremely rural area and do not always have phone service and do not always get our messages In a timely manner.
So leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as is humanly possible.
We apologize for any inconvenience.
It is a long drive out here and you WILL be turned away if you do not have an appointment.
You can reach us by calling 801-787-6675 and leaving a message or by text message at the same number or by email at [email protected]
