🔥 Sparking a great start to the year! 🔥

Students in Mr. Gross’ Beginning Welding class were already getting hands-on earlier this week, building skills and gaining valuable experience in the shop.

It’s an exciting start for these students in our Career Development Program (CDP) as they begin learning the techniques, safety practices and real-world skills that will help prepare them for future opportunities.

Throughout the 2026-2027 school year, each month employees and educators at Garrett-Keyser-Butler will be recognized for exemplary work in that month's Character Counts pillar.

For the month of August, the Character Counts pillar was RESPECT.

Congrats to August's recipients Zachary DeLauder (JE Ober), Tasha Getts (GMS), Erin Howard and Ryan Hathaway (GHS) and Julie Malcolm (GKB District).

Nothing like a Friday night under the lights.

It was great to be back on the field and in the stands this past Friday at home for the first time this season at Memorial Field.

As you arrive for tonight’s home football opener, you’ll notice something looking a little different! 👀

Over the past several months, our old track was torn out and removed from below surface level — making way for a completely new track surface around our football field.

We’re excited for our Railroaders to enjoy this major upgrade for years to come, thanks to the great partners at Hagerman, Wayne Asphalt and Garmann Miller
