*YOU LIFTED ME UP - GOD WILL LIFT YOU ALL UP HIGHER*

On Saturday, September 5, 2026, I had the distinct honor and privilege of officiating the inauguration of the SLPP North America New York Chapter—another important milestone in our collective effort to strengthen, organize, and unite our great party across North America.

The celebration began with a memorable boat ride across the Hudson River, bringing comrades, friends, and members of our SLPPNA family together in an atmosphere of joy, celebration, friendship, and unity of purpose. It was a beautiful reminder that beyond our individual responsibilities and perspectives, we remain one family united by our shared commitment to the SLPP and Sierra Leone.

The evening culminated in the Official Inauguration Ceremony and Ball Dance, where Chairman Jabaty Wai and his executive were formally inaugurated to lead the New York Chapter. I congratulate Chairman Wai and his entire executive and wish them a successful tenure characterized by unity, inclusiveness, service, and continued growth of our party.

My profound appreciation goes to the members of the SLPPNA New York Chapter for their dedication, sacrifice, and tremendous hard work in organizing such a successful and memorable inauguration. Your commitment was evident throughout the weekend, and you have every reason to be proud.

I also extend my sincere gratitude to my Regional Executive for continuing to support my leadership as we travel across North America to officiate chapter inaugurations, strengthen our structures, and build a more united and effective SLPPNA.

To the entire SLPPNA family, thank you for your continued dedication and your remarkable demonstration of love, solidarity, and commitment to our great party. The strength of this region has always been its people, and together we continue to demonstrate what is possible when we put unity and service above individual interests.

I am particularly humbled by the recognition bestowed upon me during the ceremony in honor of my leadership, hard work, and unwavering commitment to uniting and strengthening the SLPP. I accept this recognition with gratitude and humility, not simply as a personal honor, but as an encouragement to continue working even harder in service to our party, our membership, and our country.

The ceremony also provided an opportunity to recognize several hardworking and dedicated members with Awards of Excellence and Service to the Party. I extend my warmest congratulations to every award recipient. Your service, sacrifices, loyalty, and commitment have contributed immensely to the progress of our party. Your recognition is well deserved.

As we move forward, let us continue to strengthen the bonds that unite us, expand our party, support one another, and demonstrate through our actions that SLPP North America remains one family with one purpose and one determination to serve.

Congratulations once again to Chairman Jabaty Wai, his Executive, the New York Chapter, and all award recipients.

The journey continues. The work continues. Our unity remains our strength. Next Stop for Chapter Inauguration is Virginia.

As you continue to lead our great Sierra Leone People’s Party, may you be guided by wisdom, discernment, patience, and a deep commitment to the unity and progress of our party. May your tenure be characterized by political stability, peace, unity, grassroots empowerment, and success at every level of the SLPP.

Continue to provide leadership and direction to the grassroots of our party *while working in harmony with the political leadership and direction of our Leader, His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio*, in accordance with the Constitution of our great party.

As Chairman of the largest SLPP diaspora organization, SLPP North America, 2026 has been a year of extraordinary activity, service, sacrifice, and commitment to strengthening our great party across the diaspora.

Throughout the year, I have traveled extensively across the United States, officiating chapter inaugural ceremonies, strengthening our organizational structures, engaging our membership, mobilizing supporters, and helping to raise the resources necessary to support the party and contribute to the advancement of development in Sierra Leone.

Our journey began with the Delaware Valley Chapter (DVC) and continued across New Jersey, Arizona, Dallas, Ohio, Houston, Washington, D.C., Southern California, Seattle, North Carolina, Minnesota, and most recently New England. At every stop, I have witnessed the enthusiasm, dedication, and enduring love that Sierra Leoneans in the diaspora continue to demonstrate for our party and our beloved country.

My engagements have extended beyond the United States. I have also traveled to Sierra Leone and Canada to participate in important programs organized by our valued and cherished communities, strengthening the bonds between our diaspora membership, our party at home, and the people we ultimately seek to serve.

For me, this work is about much more than traveling from one chapter to another. It is about building institutions, strengthening unity, mobilizing people and resources, expanding participation, and ensuring that the SLPP diaspora remains a strong partner in Sierra Leone’s national development.

I remain deeply grateful to our Regional Executive, Chapter Chairpersons and Executives, elders, women, young generation, supporters, and the entire SLPP North America family whose commitment makes this work possible.

The journey continues. We will keep organizing. We will keep mobilizing. We will keep building bridges between the diaspora and home. And we will continue working together in service to our party and the development of Sierra Leone.
