The Garner History Museum will be open on Memorial Day from 10:30 AM–12:30 PM following the Town of Garner, NC Government Memorial Day Observance at Lake Benson Park from 9:30 AM–10:30 AM.
Visitors will have the opportunity to view the meaningful artifacts and mementos left at the “Wall That Heals” when it visited Garner in May 2022. Many families and community members left personal items beside the names of loved ones honored on the wall, and those items are now displayed in the museum’s midsection exhibit.
The display also honors the Garner and Clayton residents who lost their lives during the Vietnam War through photos, names, and remembrance.
We encourage everyone to stop by, pay their respects, and remember the sacrifices made by so many brave men and women. ❤️🤍💙
