Did you know that GSRC was originally opened in 1969 and was part of the Heather Hills Subdivision and called The Heather Hills Pool? In 1991 it converted to being a membership based nonprofit pool and changed it's name to The Garner Swim and Rec Club.

What does being a sponsor for GSRC mean?

In yesterday's post we mentioned that the board helps find sponsors for the club. These sponsorships help not only GSRC but they help provide much needed funds for the Garner Dolphins Swim Team! They provide facility maintenance, like the new pump room, and equipment the swim team uses, like their timer system!

As we gear up to open for the season we will be posting some fun information each day this week.

This spring GSRC put in a new pump room! What does that mean? Well, basically the pump room filters all the water in our pool - which is a lot!

The new system will keep the water crystal clear all summer for us to enjoy.
