Our Senior Citizens Advisory Committee passed along a great one. The Garland Senior Activity Center and Carver Senior Center are hosting a free Community Health & Resource Fair, and it is open to everyone, not just seniors.

The Atrium at the Granville Arts Center, 300 N. Fifth St.

Stop by for health screenings, assessments, wellness and preventive care info, health education, safety tips, vendors, and door prizes.

🛍️ Artisan & Resource Market at North Garland High School

The North Garland High School PTSA is putting on an Artisan & Resource Market, and everyone is invited. Shop local makers, meet organizations that help Garland families, and support a school community that does a lot for our kids.

📅 Saturday, October 24 🕙 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM 📍 North Garland High School Cafeteria, 2109 W Buckingham Road, Garland, TX 75042 🚗 Enter from Buckingham Road or Sam Houston Road

Featuring 50+ vendors: custom apparel and cups, a hat bar, handmade bags and upcycled items, jewelry, embroidery and crochet, paper and sewn crafts, wood decor, wreaths and outdoor decor, laser engraving, Turkish linens, soaps, candles and beauty, Pokemon cards and anime, fun 3D items and pens, plus Garland Civic Theatre and the Quilt Guild.

Come hungry. There will be seasonings and coffee, tamales and boba tea, rolled ice cream and baked goods.

There is also a resource area with groups that serve our community, including Hope Door New Beginnings, Basepoint Academy, Gracefull Table Community Kitchen, The Turning Point, Su***de & Crisis Center, Medicare health plan reviews, and NAMI North Texas.
