Vietnamese-American Community of Dallas

Vietnamese-American Community of Dallas VAC Dallas is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization with the mission of preserving and spreading awareness for Vietnamese culture, language and history.

In 1983, settled and financially stable Vietnamese-Americans looked at the rapidly growing number of Vietnamese immigrating to Dallas and knew they would need a community to help them get on their feet. With the goal of simply helping the newly immigrated find jobs, housing and sign kids up for school, the Vietnamese-American Community of Dallas has now grown into a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organizati

on helping to promote and spread Vietnamese culture, language and most of all history to the Dallas area. Annual festivals help the younger generation get a taste of what the holidays were like for their parents in Vietnam, while annual Black April Commemoration Ceremonies remind our youth of the reason why we are here in America now and what we should be thankful for. The VAC Dallas brought the Lone Star State its first taste of Vietnam with Vietnamese grocery markets, restaurants and shopping centers. Aligned with other Vietnamese-American Communities across the United States of America and the world, VAC Dallas remembers its core values of remaining authentic and why as political refugees we are blessed to be in this great nation today.
