TRAFFIC ALERT: Roan Road 🚧

The westbound lanes of Roan Road between Lakehill Drive and Blue Harbor Way are indefinitely closed due to a pavement issue the City is working to resolve.

During the closure, westbound traffic will be rerouted to the eastbound lanes.

Please use caution in the area and allow extra time for travel. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Garland Water Utilities Waterline Project 🚧

Beginning Monday, Sept. 14, Garland Water Utilities will begin installation of a 16-inch waterline along the eastbound service road on the south side of President George Bush Turnpike (PGBT), near the intersection of PGBT and Holford Road.

This work is a planned Garland Water Utilities Capital Improvement Project to replace water infrastructure and is a stand-alone project, separate from other work occurring in the area.

Residents may notice crews conducting preparation work ahead of construction. The project is expected to take approximately 120 days, weather permitting.

Please use caution when traveling through the work area and watch for construction crews and traffic control signage. We appreciate your patience as we complete this important infrastructure improvement.

3. Where can we meet outside if we have to evacuate the house (i.e. neighbor’s house, mailbox, etc.)?
4. Who's counting on us — children, older parents, someone with a disability, pets?

Making a plan now can help your family know what to do and where to go when every second counts. Make sure everyone knows the plan, including children and caregivers.
