Some person or persons have copied the City of Garfield’s logo and are using it and the names of city officials in an attempt to illegally solicit fraudulent payments. These emails look very legitimate.
The City of Garfield will never text or email a person asking for payment of fees in the form of wire transfers.
Should you receive such a solicitation, please notify the Benton County Sheriff’s office at 479-271-1005.
