📢 Community Center Notice

Due to road closures for the Carson Valley Days Parade, the Douglas County Community & Senior Center will have a delayed opening on Saturday, June 13.

The Community Center will open at 12:00 PM and close at its regular time of 4:00 PM.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you in the afternoon. Thank you for your patience as we support this community event!

Today we joined forces with the Aktion Club for their 2nd Annual Walk, and what an incredible day it was! We were so excited to see such an amazing turnout from our community, all coming together to support the wonderful members of the Aktion Club.

Thank you to everyone who participated, cheered us on, volunteered, and helped make this event such a success. The support, smiles, and community spirit on display today were truly inspiring. We are proud to be part of a community that shows up and supports one another!

We can’t wait to do it again next year!

Today we had some special visitors join us for our 1st Responders Ice Cream Social, and what a wonderful turnout it was!

A huge thank you to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and East Fork Fire & Paramedics for taking the time to come enjoy some ice cream and visit with our seniors. The smiles, conversations, and connections made today were truly special.

We are incredibly grateful for your service, dedication, and commitment to keeping our community safe every day. Thank you for all that you do for Douglas County… we appreciate you more than words can say!

💪🦅 YOUTH Intro to Fitness is coming this June! 🦅💪

Looking for a fun way for your child to stay active, build confidence, and learn healthy fitness habits this summer? Join us for our Youth Intro to Fitness program for students entering 6th grade & above!

June 16th – June 25th
Tuesdays & Thursdays | 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
$10 per class

Participants will learn how to create a workout routine using:
Warm-up stretches
Pushups
Squats
Jump rope
Cardio & strength exercises
…and more!

PLUS — after each workout, participants can enjoy fun activities like:
Archery Tag
Dodgeball
Nerf Battles

Court shoes, workout attire, and a water bottle are encouraged.

Looking for a fun and active opportunity for your child this summer? Join us for our Youth Climbing Class and introduce them to the basics of climbing in a safe, supportive environment.

📅 Tuesday, July 21st
⏰ 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Participants will learn:
• Basic climbing techniques
• Top rope climbing
• Climbing games and activities

Registration is available at the front desk or by scanning the QR code on the flyer.

Spots are very limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Based on community interest and demand, additional classes may be added. Stay tuned!
