Superintendent Alvarado said that to make up a shortfall in budget there could be about a 60 positions layoff.

Consolidating schools will obviously save the district money, but at what cost to the community? Time will tell.

I do applaud Mr. Alvarado for trying to focus on the positives and not the negatives that could come from this.

GRID voted to cancel the contract regarding the Bing Pit. Personally, I think this is a good thing. I feel it was a bad investment for GRID to make so it shows some fiscal responsibility to the citizens of the Ranchos. The sale of the Bing Pit should be made to a real estate developer not to a local GID.

What an amazing time the last 10 months has been and it all comes down to tomorrow! I have always said the best thing about campaigning is meeting such great and wonderful people. The people of this community are amazing! Win or lose… thank you all for giving me a chance!

Got this in the mail today. I really like the part that says:

“His opponent supported by Good Ol Boys Establishment.”

Umm excuse me… I HAVE NOT been endorsed by either political party. All of my donations to date have come from people that actually live in Douglas County or Carson City. And from what I have heard, the biggest Good Ol Boy in the valley got Danny to move up here to win an election. He lost like 6 elections when he lived in Vegas. His only voice is for the big money contributors. We deserve better!

Don’t fall for his clever ads. In our debate he said, “I don’t care if I win or lose.” Thats because he doesn’t care about Douglas County, he only cares about himself. I promise when I win this election, he will be on his way back to Vegas as soon as his last board meeting is adjourned.

Let’s GO DOUGLAS!!! Vote him outta here!
