Barring a miricle. We came up short.

First, congratulations to Representative-elect Mike Nicholson. I wish him well, and I sincerely hope he succeeds for Gardner, Ashburnham, Templeton and Winchendon. When he succeeds for this district, we all do.

To everyone who took the time to write my name on a ballot — literally, letter by letter — thank you. You gave this campaign a chance when there wasn’t an easy path forward, and I will never forget that.

The path changed. The purpose never did.

This summer, my family, our team and I met some incredible people across all four communities. We listened, learned, disagreed sometimes, laughed a lot, and had conversations that I believe were worth having.

I’m proud that when things didn’t go according to plan, we didn’t quit. We kept showing up.

There will be plenty of time to talk about what comes next. Tonight, I’m simply grateful.

Thank you for believing we could do something difficult.

And congratulations, Mike. Go do good work for all four towns.

— Nate

Good morning — Election Day is here.

I’ll be checking in throughout the day, but one quick reminder when you get your ballot:

The State Representative race is listed as “REPRESENTATIVE IN GENERAL COURT — SECOND WORCESTER DISTRICT.”

That’s the line you’re looking for.

Write in Nathan Boudreau and fill in the oval.

Questions today? Message me. I’ll be around.

Let’s go. 🇺🇸

This morning at the Bluemoon Diner Gardner MA, I got talking with a veteran who has lived in Gardner for about 30 years and built his home and his life here.

We got talking about his neighborhood and his road. He suggested I go take a look. So I did.

These pictures are from the town line, one looking into Winchendon, the other looking into Gardner. The difference is hard to miss.

This isn’t about blaming either community. Smaller and more rural communities have a lot of road to maintain and fewer dollars to do it with. We need to fight for our fair share from the state — and make every dollar we get go further.

That’s why capital planning experience matters in a State Representative. So much of the job comes back to roads, bridges, schools, water and other infrastructure. You need to understand how these projects actually get planned, funded and built.

More planning. More pavement. Less patching.

And I love that this whole thing started at the Blue Moon. The food is always good and the service is quick, but places like the Blue Moon are more than that. They’re where you run into neighbors, have conversations and hear what’s actually going on in the community.

Tuesday, September 1, I’m asking you to write me in.

Ask for the REPUBLICAN ballot.
Write in Nathan Boudreau, 110 Kendall Pond Rd W, Gardner.
Fill in the oval.

And tell me — what road in Gardner, Ashburnham, Templeton or Winchendon should I go see next?

Second time at the Winchendon Community Park Amphitheatre this summer and another beautiful night.

Millions were invested here, but the real return is the people. Families on the lawn, musicians on the stage, neighbors spending an evening together.

That’s the full cycle of community development: invest in a place → create culture → bring people together → strengthen the community and local economy.

The infrastructure matters because of what people do with it. Winchendon has something special here.

Got a workout in at Fitness Concepts Health Club / CrossFit 696
this morning and it got me thinking about the connection between fitness, nutrition and the food we grow right here.

I stopped at a great local farmstand here last week, and we’re hoping to make the Winchendon Farmers Market today.

There’s a lot of good already happening here. I’m a big supporter of connecting the dots — supporting local farms, making healthy food more accessible, and helping families live healthier without making everything another government program.

Check out Central Mass Grown and support the people doing the work.

Please remember to write me in 9/1 in the Republican Primary.

I’ve done a lot of listening these last few days. And I want to tell you why I’m still in this race.

Tuesday, I’m asking you to take a few extra seconds and write in Nate Boudreau for State Representative.

But before then, I want to hear from you too.

What’s one thing you want your next State Representative to understand about your family, your community, or life here?

Tell me in the comments. I’m listening.

Please share this video. A write-in campaign only works if people know they have a choice.
