⚠️Detectives Seeking Witness in Investigation⚠️

Earlier today, at approximately 8:00 AM, Gardena Police officers responded to the area of 169th Street and Hobart Boulevard regarding a road rage.

Gardena Police detectives responded to the scene and are seeking to identify and speak with a possible witness to the altercation. The witness is believed to have been driving a newer model white Toyota Tacoma.

Detectives are asking for the community’s assistance in locating this witness or anyone who may have information regarding this incident.

🚨🎆 FIREWORKS NOTICE – CITY OF GARDENA 🎆🚨

As we approach Independence Day, the Gardena Police Department would like to remind residents that only “Safe and Sane” fireworks are permitted within the City of Gardena, and only on July 4th from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

❌ All other fireworks are illegal, including aerial fireworks, rockets, firecrackers, and any fireworks used outside the authorized date and time.

🚓 The Gardena Police Department will be conducting enhanced enforcement throughout the holiday season and will maintain a zero-tolerance approach toward illegal fireworks violations. Illegal fireworks pose a significant risk of injury, fires, property damage, and disruption to our neighborhoods.

🚸📚 One More Week to Go! 🚔

With only one school week remaining in the school year, the Gardena Police Department will continue conducting high-visibility traffic enforcement around our schools and neighborhoods.

Our officers will be focused on speeding, stop sign violations, distracted driving, illegal U-turns, and any behavior that puts students, parents, crossing guards, or school staff at risk. There will be zero tolerance for unsafe driving around our schools.

Let’s finish the school year the same way we started it—by making the safety of our children our highest priority. Slow down, stay alert, and help us ensure every student gets to and from school safely.
