Crouch Junior Rodeo Series (CJRS)

Looking forward to seeing everyone for another fun filled season! Always the 2nd Saturday of the Summer Months at the Youren Arena in Garden Valley. Age Groups: (as of January 1st of each year)
Mini Mights 5 and under
Peewee 6 to 9 years old
Junior 10 to 13 years old
Senior

14 to 18 years old
Super Senior! 19 and up

Costs is $25 for the day. Extra mounts are $25 for the day, ran after Super Senior Division. All entries fees from PW through Senior are included in that days payout! Super Senior entries are used for prizes. Events:
Poles, Barrels, Flag Race, Speed Barrels, Key Hole, and a Mystery event to be announced at each rodeo. (Mystery event does not count towards all around points or day money, but does count for day prizes)

We start our first event at 10 am. Please be sure you've signed up for the events you want to enter by 9:30 a.m. at the announcers stand. Finals is two separate rodeos this year, on the same weekend. All around points and prize money paid for each day separately. 9 am start time on Sunday. Potluck Saturday night. We are always looking for volunteers to help setup events, running gates, etc. If you are interested, please just let us know and we will put you to work! All riders and volunteers, or parent or guardian of, are required to sign a release of liability before being allowed to ride in the arena. If you or your business is interested in sponsoring CJRS please contact us! We include all entry monies received in that days payout for all the younger divisions, but the prizes for 1st through 3rd for each event and age group are all provided by the super senior entries and wonderful people and businesses who sponsor CJRS. Additional Rules:
120 seconds added on to any rider led or physically helped through the pattern. MiniMights may be flagged. PeeWee through Super Seniors will receive a no time if they cross over the eye line.

5 second penalty for knocking down a barrel or a pole.

10 second penalty for crossing the white line or knocking over a pole in the key hole. PeeWee through Super Seniors receive a no time if they drop the flag, Minimights receive a 10 second penalty for dropping the flag.

As we draw closer to rodeo season in garden valley. Don’t forget about your 2026 c**t challenges for CJRS. Horses have to have less than 10 rides by May 1st. Then it’s all in. Hope to get a few more people entered up on their projects this summer. If anyone is serious about entering and needs a c**t let me know I have several.
