Introducing UVSA SoCal’s Mentorship Program

What does it look like to be guided by someone who’s already walked your path?

UVSA SoCal is launching a collaborative mentorship initiative connecting Vietnamese American college students with established professionals across industries, built in partnership with community organizations, alumni, sponsors, and constituent schools.

Through this program, participants will:

Be paired with Vietnamese professionals in their field of interest
Attend guest lectures and career-focused workshops
Join curated Vietnamese Coffee Sessions to build meaningful connections
Gain opportunities for shadowing, internships, and field experiences
Expand their network across both student and professional communities

With support from partners like the City of Garden Grove for venues and a growing network of sponsors and alumni, we’re creating a space where mentorship goes beyond conversation, it turns into opportunity.

Program runs 6–12 months with a series of structured touchpoints and community-driven events.

Whether you’re exploring your career path or ready to take the next step, this is your chance to learn from those who’ve been there.

💸 Scholarship Details Up to 5 recipients will receive a $200 scholarship to help cover conference costs, including registration, hotel, travel, and food.

Introducing UVSA SoCal’s Leadership Training Program (LTP)
Are you looking to grow as a leader, build intentional impact, and learn how to navigate teams, projects, and communities with purpose?
UVSA SoCal is launching a 6-month Leadership Training Program designed to develop the next generation of leaders through a structured, MBA-style learning experience.
Participants will engage in:
Monthly 2-hour sessions
Interactive lectures and discussions
Guest speakers from industry and community leadership
Practical frameworks for leading teams and initiatives
A final performance review to reflect on growth
We’re kicking things off with a Virtual Info Session to share more about the program, answer questions, and hear from you.

Family Leaders (FL) are the mentors and older sibling figures for their attendees during Camp. FL responsibilities include creating an inclusive and safe environment for attendees, maintaining family morale, facilitating meaningful conversations during Saturday Night Activities (SNA) , and participating in programming with their families. With their knowledge of VSA and lifelong wisdom, they are an essential part of our attendees’ experience.🌟🤍
