In honor of September 11 the Garden City Park Fire Department did our annual stair climb. 110 flights of stairs in their fire gear. It is a small token of remembrance, and honor of what the brave men and women did on this day 25 years ago. Let us not forget them, and pay our respects to the true heroes. Thankyou to UFC gym for supporting us and allowing us to continue a great way to remember today.

⚠️Advisory⚠️

Due to wildfires in northern Canada, smoke & haze has made its way over Nassau County.

The New York State Department of Health has issued an Air Quality Advisory. The fire department is aware of the situation and monitoring it closely.

Last night at approximately 12:30AM Garden City Park Fire Department was alerted for a basement fire. This fire was caused from a dewalt battery left on the charger. Please remember NEVER leave batteries charging overnight. The batteries heated up, and exploded causing 3 separate fires in this persons garage. Luckily the smoke detectors woke the family up, and they all made it out safely and minor damages were caused.
