⚙️Behind every mission, there’s a Machinery Technician (MK)!

Every mission starts with readiness, and the MKs make it happen. Whether it’s maintaining engines, repairing vital systems, or troubleshooting mechanical issues, they ensure our boats stay operational.

Congratulations to Station Galveston for claiming the championship in the 2nd Annual Turkey Bowl hosted by U.S. Coast Guard Base Galveston!🏈🦃

The crew gave it their all against Company C, 4th AABN, 4th Marine Division and U.S. Coast Guard Base Galveston in a series of games. They secured a hard-fought 5-3 victory in the first game and staged an incredible comeback in the Championship game. Down 2-4 with just 10 minutes left, they rallied to bring the final score to 5-4! Great work to all the teams!🏆

Congratulations to our Sailor of the Quarter, FN Jeremy Cruz Rosario!🛟🔧

He has demonstrated knowledge and professionalism of a higher pay grade. FN Cruz Rosario worked hard to obtain his 45’ RBM Engineer qualification, which is a qualification usually held by Petty Officers. His hardwork and determination has positively impacted the station. He has been a mentor and leader to many! Station Galveston is lucky to have him and will miss him when he leaves for Yeoman A-School soon.

On this day, we remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

We honor the lives lost and remember the courage and sacrifice of our fellow first responders who served on that fateful day.
