Go ahead. Spot the problem. I'll wait. . .

A sign is a small thing. It is also a symbol of the person who planted it, and of how they will treat the people around them.

When you see a sign that is planted in front of another, blocking the name a voter would read, that tells you more than any mailer ever will.

Every candidate on the ballot is volunteering for an unpaid seat on your City Council. Every one of them deserves respect and decency β€” from voters, and from each other. When the goal is to win at all costs, the citizens of Galveston are the ones who lose.

Vote your conscience. Fight hard for the truth. Disagree. That's democracy. But be ethical and kind to the folks on the other side. We'll all still be neighbors when these signs come down.

Neighbor, Early voting starts today and runs from 8am to 5pm. I'm honored to be on the ballot for District 2 City Council.

I've spent the last twenty years on this island, and the people in this picture are part of why I'm running. They're my neighbors, my team, my friends. They're the reason I believe District 2 has the best days still ahead of it.
