What an incredible turnout for the Kevin Tonn Memorial Run this morning! More than 150 runners came together to honor Kevin’s memory and celebrate his lasting impact on our community.

Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and supported this special event. Your presence made this a meaningful tribute, and together we helped keep Kevin’s memory alive.

On Wednesday January 15th, The Galt Police Department, Tonn family and community gathered for the 13th annual memorial honoring Officer Kevin Tonn. The memorial began this morning with the dedication of Officer Tonn Parkway, a moment of silence, and followed by a wreath-laying ceremony to honor his service and sacrifice.

We are honored to carry forward Officer Tonn’s legacy, which continues to live on in the community he so proudly served.

On Thursday, January 15, 2026, the Galt Police Department will honor Officer Kevin Tonn during a memorial ceremony at 12:00 PM.
Officer Kevin Tonn was fatally wounded in the line of duty on January 15, 2013.

This 13-year memorial ceremony will take place at the Officer Kevin Tonn Memorial located in front of Galt City Hall, 380 Civic Drive.
The ceremony will include the placement of a wreath by the Galt Police Department, followed by a moment of silence.

Members of the community and those that knew Kevin are invited to attend and pay tribute to Officer Tonn as we remember his service, honor his sacrifice, and reflect on the lasting impact he made on our community.
