Celebrate National Public Lands Day at the Cosumnes River Preserve!

Join us on September 26 as we celebrate National Public Lands Day by giving back to the lands we all enjoy. This annual event brings communities together to care for public lands, support conservation efforts, and connect with nature.

This year, weโ€™re offering three unique ways to participate:

๐Ÿ›ถ Invasive Aquatic Vegetation Removal
Help protect the Preserveโ€™s waterways by removing invasive aquatic plants that can impact native vegetation, water quality, and wildlife habitat. Get hands-on experience helping care for the wetlands and river ecosystems that make the Cosumnes River Preserve special.

๐ŸŒณ Acorn Adventure Nature Walk
Explore the Preserve on a guided nature walk focused on oak habitats, acorns, and the wildlife that depend on these important trees. Learn about the connections between native plants, animals, and the landscape around us.

๐Ÿชต Boardwalk Trail Maintenance
Help care for one of the Preserveโ€™s most popular visitor areas by assisting with maintenance projects that help keep trails safe, accessible, and welcoming for visitors while protecting the surrounding habitat.

Whether youโ€™re a longtime volunteer or joining us for the first time, your participation helps protect and enhance the Cosumnes River Preserve.
