🚁 MEET THE TEAM 🚁

Meet Eric Andres, one of our dedicated Helicopter Maintenance Technicians whose passion for aviation and safety has been shaped by 15 years of military experience. After transitioning from military aviation, he joined Gallup Med Flight nine months ago and quickly became an essential part of the team.

What he enjoys most about helicopter maintenance is the responsibility that comes with the job. In his words, when something is broken, there’s no debating it or putting it off, it has to be fixed because safety always comes first. Being able to identify an issue and make the repair himself is one of the most rewarding parts of the work.

When he’s off shift, you’ll usually find him staying busy with projects around the house or unwinding with some gaming, especially Grand Theft Auto. Originally from Nevada, his idea of the perfect day off is simple: sleeping in, enjoying a good cup of coffee, and keeping the phone notifications turned off for a little peace and quiet.

Something people may not know about him is that he left for military boot camp at just 17 years old. He’s also currently studying Buddhism, something that has become an important personal interest outside of work

On this Memorial Day, Gallup Med Flight pauses to honor those who gave their lives in service to the United States Armed Forces. Their courage, sacrifice and unwavering dedication to our nation will forever be remembered. We are grateful for their legacy and hold their families in our thoughts today.

Recently we celebrated 30 years of Gallup Med Flight and the incredible legacy of service, commitment, and care this program has brought to Gallup, New Mexico and the surrounding communities. We were grateful to have team members, partners, community supporters, and special guests with us to recognize this important milestone.

The entire Gallup Med Flight family sends our deepest sympathies to Trans Aero MedEvac after the tragic air accident in New Mexico. Even though Trans Aero is not part of the Global Medical Response family, our teams work closely together in the area. We’re heartbroken for the crews and especially the families, loved ones and friends of the EMS community we lost.

It is with profound sorrow that Trans Aero MedEvac confirms the loss of four members of our team following the crash of our fixed-wing aircraft in New Mexico early this morning. Our hearts are with the families, loved ones, coworkers, and the first responders continuing operations at the scene during this incredibly difficult time. FULL STATEMENT BELOW.

Meet Nate Madore, , and one of our dedicated who brings nearly two decades of healthcare experience to every mission. With 19 years in healthcare and four years in flight medicine, Nate was inspired to join the air medical field to expand his clinical reach and challenge himself with advanced equipment, technology, and hands-on learning opportunities.

For Nate, the hardest part of the job is also what makes it so rewarding: healthcare is constantly evolving. Staying resilient, adaptable, and open to learning is essential in this line of work, and he embraces that challenge every day. When it comes to preparing for a shift, Nate says it’s almost instinctive. The moment he walks into the base, his mindset shifts into always being ready.

He believes one of the most important qualities for success in air medical is a willingness to learn and remain teachable, no matter how much experience you have. Outside of work, Nate enjoys kayaking, fishing, and spending quality time with loved ones. Something many people may not know about him is his strong passion for wildlife conservation.

If he could choose anyone to transport someday, it would be Johnny Cash. And the quote that keeps him grounded through it all? “You are a paramedic, but being a paramedic does not define you.”

Meet Isaac Jamison, one of our dedicated who helps bring critical care to patients when it matters most. With five years in healthcare, Isaac stepped into this role to push himself to the highest level of care. For him, flight medicine represents the full scope of what an RN can do, paired with a schedule that allows him to give his all on shift and fully recharge off duty. What keeps the job challenging is the constant evolution in healthcare. Staying current with best practices is part of the responsibility, and Isaac embraces that by always learning and adapting. He prepares for each shift with intention: a good night’s sleep, getting mentally dialed in, and even listening to medical podcasts to stay sharp. When he’s off, he makes it count so he can return focused and ready.

Outside of work, you’ll find him trail running, skiing, or mountain biking. And at home, he’s got a loyal sidekick named Bear. If he could choose anyone to transport one day, it would be Jesus. And the mindset that guides him through it all? “Just keep showing up. Get better. It gets easier, and you get more confident...just show up.”
