We recognize the vital collaboration between SASNWNM, UNHS victim advocacy center, dispatch personnel, and law enforcement agencies in supporting survivors of sexual violence and victim-based crimes. From the very first 911 call to advocacy, investigation, and ongoing support services, each role is essential in ensuring survivors are treated with compassion, dignity, and care.

We extend our sincere appreciation to dispatchers, advocates, counselors, officers, investigators, and community partners who work tirelessly every day to respond with professionalism, empathy, and a survivor-centered approach. Your teamwork helps create safer communities and provides hope and support during some of the most difficult moments in a person’s life.

SASNWNM Gallup and Farmington was honored to attend NMCSAP’s 3rd Annual Statewide Sexual Assault Conference alongside fellow changemakers. We’re grateful for the workshops, inspiring keynote speakers, and the recognition of those working to support survivors and keep our communities safe. We are excited to share that SANE exams are now available at our Gallup office!

While these services have existed in Gallup before, this expansion marks an important step toward ensuring they are consistent, reliable, and accessible for the community. This has been two years in the making, made possible through strong collaboration with our local partners.

We want to extend our sincere thanks to Gallup Indian Medical Center, Gallup Community Health, Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Care Services, Battered Families Services, local law enforcement, and all of our community partners who helped make this possible.

This is a meaningful step forward in providing timely, trauma-informed care. We offer a safe, confidential, and supportive environment where survivors can receive forensic evidence collection, injury documentation, preventive medications, and pregnancy testing.

We are proud to be part of strengthening these vital services for the Gallup community.
